We can confirm that 12 young competitors will have support from the Team Wood Motorcycle Youth Acadmey in 2024.
Ruben Boyd, Matthew Curry, Alex McCalmont will be joined with Harley Smyth, Beau Boyd and Mantis Siugzetinis, all in the youth section.
Our Female section will again have Sammi Jo Crossett, Jesscia Hamilton joins her. Coming straight from IMC Championship young Ciara Cahoon joins the girls this year and will be definately one to watch.
The Senior section we have a young lad that has been with us from the formation of the academy Lee Hara. Lee has already won two Championships and is very keen to follow his dad and move into Road racing. Cory Barron will still have support from the acadmey but will have limited races at home. Joining the senior section and newcomer to the sport is Evan Grier, Evan come from a road race family background and will compete in the Supersport Cup Class on our Suzuki GSXR600.
The Academy are suppling five machines this year, so Evan is on the suzuki, Harley and Beau will have use of our two Tianda TDR300. Mantis and Ciara will use our Kawasaki 250 Ninja’s.
